Hot and Cold Air in a Grow Tent
The temperature in a grow tent should be between 77 and 79 degrees. Some of the issues in a grow tent is heated fluctuation. When growing plants in the grow room you don't need big drops in temperature. When the grow lights turn off for the night time cycle, or turn on for the day cycle it will cause a drop or a spike in heat. Therefore you will need a thermostat to control and maintain the temperature. Place the prob of the thermostat near your plants as well as a small heater to turn on and off when the thermostat indicates a temperature change.
Cold air has more moisture than warm air. The cold air is heavier and so it will drop to the bottom of your grow room where your plants are located. Remember you need to keep the grow room at 77 to 79 degrees to maintain a good balance for your plants thrive.
You will also need a cooling fan or fans to keep the lights from overheating the grow room when they are on. This is also controlled by the thermostat.
Without maintaining the 77 to 79-degree temperature in the grow tent your plants can lose 20% or even 30% of growth. Make sure that the fans and the heater aren't facing directly at your plants as this could also have problems with overheating or cooling your plants.
Pick up a Gear Board to hang your thermostat and other power connectors to and run the probs and cords inside your grow room. More room inside for your plants.
